SQND CITY is moving into a new era, and the first step arrives this Fall. After spending the last two years learning the craft through mods and homages, I realized the brand needed to evolve beyond the original quartz concept. That early plan served its purpose, but the direction has shifted toward something more intentional and more aligned with the watches I want to build. SQND CITY is now focused on mechanical pieces and full diver development.
The first release in this new direction is a Bears‑inspired limited run launching in Fall 2026, right in time for football season. This small batch is designed as a tribute to Chicago’s identity and culture. It does not use official team logos, but it carries the spirit of the city through custom caseback engraving and Chicago‑themed details that make the piece feel personal and rooted in home.
This watch will feature a stainless steel case, sapphire crystal, and a dependable Japanese automatic movement. It represents the shift from quartz concepts to true mechanical craftsmanship and sets the tone for the future of SQND CITY.
While this Fall release moves forward, I’m also developing the next phase of the brand: an original SQND CITY diver built from the ground up. I’m working with manufacturers on case design, custom dials, crowns, and the mechanical language that will define the brand’s long‑term identity.
Along the way, there may be additional small‑batch themed homages using known cases and bezels. Each drop will carry SQND CITY’s design style while the full custom build continues behind the scenes.
The Bears‑inspired Fall release marks the beginning of a new chapter for SQND CITY. It reflects the pivot from quartz to automatic, from simple concepts to purposeful craftsmanship, and from early ideas to a fully realized vision.
More details will be shared as we get closer to the Fall drop.
